As The Crow Flies

(directing/editing/writing/acting)

For my final capstone project at ETSU, I wrote and directed a narrative short film called As The Crow Flies. This film was selected by the following festivals in 2022: Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions - hosted by Lift-Off Global Network, First-Time Filmmaker Sessions Hosted by @LiftOffGlobalNetwork, Student World Impact Film Festival, and Serbest International Film Festival (SIFF). As The Crow Flies was selected as a semi-finalist by Serbest International Film Festival and was an honorable mention at the Student World Impact Film Festival. This was a passion project and I always knew I wanted my final project to be a narrative fiction film. With the help of all my friends and professors at ETSU, I was able to create this film. I am so proud of the work that went into this film and enjoyed the opportunity that I had at ETSU to make a film like this. It was an incredible experience working on it with my friends and I hope those who watch this film enjoy it as much as the time we had making it.

SSTI Behind The Curtain Season 3

(directing/editing/videography/producing)

I had the honor to direct, edit, film, and produce Season 3 of Behind Curtain. It was a 10-episode documentary web series detailing the behind-the-scenes performance and technical students and staff doing rehearsals as well as constructing a set for a musical theatre production. Click below to see the entire series on YouTube.

Night Valley MoKindred

(Music Video)

(directing/editing/cinematography)

I worked on this project with artist Mokindred to create a visual for his new single Night Valley. He had an idea of themes he wanted to incorporate and I filmed a portion near Asheville, NC and used public domain footage from the prelinger archives on the internet archive website to find videos or films that matched the vision for the music video.

Dance Promo

(directing/editing/videography)

This is a promotion for a dance event at ETSU which I filmed for professor Cara Parker.

The Farm

(writing/editing)

The Farm is a project I worked on for my video poetry class. The inspiration came from growing up in rural Appalachia. I wrote a poem, did a voice, and created a guitar part that plays in the background. All the footage was obtained from an archived video website.

Totem - Mokindred (Music Video)

(directing/cinematography/editing)

I made a music video for the talented MoKindred (Tyler Moore). It was a lot of fun being able to create a fun project like this putting all my skills to the test as well as challenging me to be creative. Tyler asked me to make a video for his song Totem and we got together and collaborated on ideas on what would fit the song’s theme and tone. We shot everything in a day around Asheville, NC a week before Christmas 2023. I am extremely proud of how it turned out.

Knapp Creative Coaching

(directing/editing/videography)

I did this promotional video for Adam Knapp with Knapp Creative Coaching.

Carolina Logistic Social Media Promo

(directing/editing/videography)

This promotional video was created for Carolina Logistic Inc. for their social media page featuring one of their drivers and his truck.

Langston Project Video

(directing/editing/videography)

During my time at ETSU, I had the opportunity to work as a work-study under the guidance of my professor, Mrs. Shara Lange. As part of the Langston Project, my role was to assist in creating a memorial to honor the first black students who graduated from ETSU and to showcase the history of Langston High School, a segregated school. As a team member, I contributed by directing, filming, and editing various videos to be included in the project.

Farm Tour

(editing)

The Farm Tour was another part of the Langston project, a video I edited for my professor to showcase the legacy of an old farm in the hills of East Tennessee.

Abe M Beats
Represent

(editing)

This was a visualization I created for the artist, Abe M Beats on Soundcloud. I was a fan and combined pieces of Do The Right Thing and the original song he remixed. I created this as I was learning Adobe Premiere in high school to teach myself how to use the program.

HuggerMugger
where you at

(editing)

This was a visualization I created for the Artist HuggerMugger and his song, where you at. I am a huge smash bros fan and loved his work. As I was learning Adobe Premiere software I created visualizations for certain SoundCloud artists to become more experienced and familiarized with the program.
